Tiangay Frances Kallon

Intern

Tiangay is a final-year law student at Lancaster University Ghana. She’s currently interning at MacCarthy and Associates. She is dedicated to her studies and her interests. In the future, she would like to become a lawyer. She is interested in international trade law, international human rights, and international relations. She spends most of her time volunteering, reading articles fictional books, and political articles, and watching documentaries based on crime, real estate, and finance. Tiangay has different interests aside from law, she’s interested in education, globalization, cybersecurity, and trade. Over the course of her yet-to-be-obtained law degree, she has interned at various institutions and law firms such as Sierra Rutile Mining Company Limited, Kanu & Associates, and the United Nations Commissions on International Trade Law. These experiences have shaped her confidence and ability to pursue law and to have an experience of how it feels like to work both within the legal and administrative fields. Tiangay is currently interning at MacCarthy and Associates, to gain valuable experience and to have a feel of what the legal scene feels like in Ghana. In the future, she would like to help advocate for women’s and girls right in Africa through education, and gender development and to create awareness and help the next generation.
